AlHaqq Matchmaking is operated by TechUnited, Inc. ("TechUnited, Inc.", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the AlHaqq Matchmaking website and mobile app (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & contact details — name, email, phone, and date of birth.
- Profile & biodata — photos, biography, education and profession, family details, lifestyle, and community/religious background you choose to share for matchmaking purposes (some of this may be sensitive information you provide voluntarily and consent to us processing for matching).
- Partner preferences & expectations — the criteria and clauses you set.
- Interactions — interests/likes you send or receive, messages, and — only when you and another member mutually agree — the contact details you choose to share with each other.
- Reports & safety information — anything you submit when reporting or blocking another member.
- Payment details (for paid features) — processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information — app version, platform, device model and basic diagnostics.
- Usage data — pages or screens viewed and actions taken, to operate and improve the Service.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location).
- Cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and secure.
Information from third parties
- If you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile (name and email) with us.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To operate the matchmaking service: building your profile, suggesting matches, handling interests and messages, and sharing contact details only when both members agree.
- To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, moderating, and preventing misuse.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and updates (by email, and — where you request it — WhatsApp/SMS).
- To provide customer support and to maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Cloud hosting & storage — to host the application and your data.
- Google — for optional sign-in.
- Stripe and other payment processors — to process payments and billing (we never store full card numbers).
- Twilio — for WhatsApp/SMS messages you or your host trigger.
- Email delivery providers — for transactional email.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition. Your profile is visible to other members of the matchmaking community as part of the service; your private contact details are shared with another member only when you both agree. Photos can be controlled with the privacy options in your profile.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and access is restricted by role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, accounting, tax or security obligations. See Your choices and rights below and our Account & Data Deletion page.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights — including requesting deletion of your account and data — by emailing Abdullah@TechUnited.biz. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact Abdullah@TechUnited.biz and we will delete it.
International users
We are based in the United States and process information there. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified to registered users.
